"The Windmills of Your Mind" was originally composed by the French composer, Michel Legrand under the title "Les moulins de mon cœur". Lyrics were written by Eddy Marnay

The song (with the English lyrics) was introduced in the film The Thomas Crown Affair in1968. The same year, it won the Academy Award for Best Original Song. It was sung by Noel Harrison.

The remake of the English song was used in the 1999 remake of the The Thomas Crown Affair film and sung by Sting.

There are many who have sung the song over the years. I have chosen the one sung by Barbra Striesand in her album: What Matters Most. The album is Streisand's collection of songs by her longtime friends Alan Bergman and Marilyn Bergman, the two lyricists who wrote the English version of the French composition.
